FOW Recap
Howdy!
We apologize for the delay in posts, but it has been a busy week for all in the Fightin' Fox Company. Thursday brought about many scholastic meetings and planning sessions for the fish, and ended with Yell Practice at the arches and a visit from the 2007-2008 F-2 Commander, Wes Hunnell. On Friday the freshmen took their Cadet Oath and became official members of the Corps of Cadets.
The FOW review and fish fry went very well. It was a great experience seeing the fish show off their newly acquired skills, especially in marching and campusologies. On Saturday the fish took on Company D-2 in our annual fish football game, and today they all enjoyed some free time before attending the Freshmen Convocation at Reed Arena. The Convocation marked the first time that the new freshmen wore their Bravos off the Quad.
The first day of class is upon us, but things are off to a good start here in the Country Club. Company F-2 proudly finished the week with 100% retention and will begin the year with 19 redass freshmen and 54 total members. WHOOP! Everybody is moved back in, excited to be back at A&M, and looking forward to set forth on a fresh new semester here in F-2. Stay posted for picture uploads, blog updates, and information about the upcoming march-in and BBQ for the Stephen F. Austin game.

Day 3: FOW Tuesday
Howdy!
Today has been a busy day, but our redass F-2 fish are taking it all in stride. They are progressing very quickly and working really hard. Today they are learning how to march, how to make their beds with hospital corners, how to arrange their fish "holes", and how to wire their brass on their uniforms. They now know how to "whip-out" or meet upperclassmen as well as a few campusologies. The day is only halfway over, but there is still a lot left to do. Tonight we will be going to the fish's first Yell Practice at the Association of Former Students building. It will definitely be good bull and a much needed escape from the Quad.
Stay posted for more pictures in the photo gallery soon. Gig 'Em!
Day 2: FOW Monday
Today was a busy day for Company F-2.
We started off getting some fresh fish cuts at the Barber Shop and by trying on all of the freshmen's new uniforms. They are finally looking like some hard-charging F-2 fish. Check out some the "good bull" upperclassmen barbers and hallways full of khaki in our updated photo gallery and print plenty of before-and-after shots. Today we also welcomed fish Wood into the ranks of F-2, bringing our total number to 19 freshmen. WHOOP! All of the fish are excited to have another buddy, and were happy to take a break from training with academic Mentor, Mrs. Julie Carroll, and military advisor, CPT Hazard at evening chow. We finished the night in Company F-2 with a redass Senior Boot-pull and are looking forward to another full day of training tomorrow.

Day 1: FOW Sunday
Yesterday we welcomed 18 fish and their parents to Company F-2. It was a long, busy day full of moving luggage, meetings, and introductions; but we are finally on our way to the 2010-2011 school year. After saying goodbye to their parents, the fish got their first taste of the Corps: learning to sprint in the hallways, lock it up on the wall, say "Yes, sir" and "No, sir," and how to perform basic drill at evening formation. Following their first meal at Duncan Dining Hall, the fish attended a presentation given by the interim commandant, COL Jake Betty, and hit the rack by 2130.
Tomorrow will provide the first full day of training and more notably haircuts and uniforms. Stay tuned for postings later of pictures and highlights from the day. Gig'Em!
