Bonfire
F-2 has a long standing tradition in Bonfire. Prior to the tragic collapse on Novermber 18, 1999, F-2 had a long line of Red Pots. There are ten Red Pots, five juniors and five seniors, that direct and organize different aspects of building the hell out bonfire. F-2 had a reserved Red Pot position since before 1976 leading the stack operations into the 90s. F-2 was traditionally a stack outfit.Since 2002, student bonfire has been building bonfire offcampus through volunteer efforts. In Fall of 2008, F-2 returned to the woods participating in mostly cut. Cadets work on the weekends on land out near Hearne, Texas clearing out brush and cutting down trees. We also assist with stack and enjoy watching burn. This year (2009-2010 school year), F-2 is making a stronger showing and 34 members of the outfit plan on participating in the activities this year. F-2 went back to wearing our distinctive Blue Pots with the F-2 stickers on the side.
Many of the pictures in our photo galleries are of bonfire. We will be updating pictures of F-2 working out in the woods as the year goes on. Please check back to see the new content.
